Putinki appreciates the six-days-a-week delivery option Pakettipiste offers, allowing their online store customers to pick up parcels from Pakettipiste’s parcel points also on Saturdays.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Putinki specialises in paper and gift products. Their mission is to bring delight and inspiration to people’s lives with their insightful design concepts. In Putinki’s own production, other important values include Finnish design and keeping manufacturing as close to home as possible.

The company’s first steps were taken in 1973 at the Hakaniemi Market Hall. Over the years, it has grown to an operator with 20 employees serving both consumers and retailers.

Putinki is celebrating its anniversary throughout the year. They have an anniversary product line with more products still to come, with a big birthday party on the way!

Putinki has three stores in Helsinki, in Hakaniemi, Ullanlinna and Töölö, as well as an online store. In April, a new store opens on the Arabia 135 block.

Pakettipiste added as a delivery option for the new online store

Last year, we launched an upgraded online store. The original online store was hastily put together as our physical stores had to close down due to the coronavirus. Pakettipiste was added as a delivery option in the online store in early 2023, says Putinki’s eCommerce Manager Enni Turunen.

“Our online store is powered by the Shopify platform, and we used nShift to add Pakettipiste as a delivery option. The simple deployment was done in a flash.”

Delivery six days a week brings added value

Pakettipiste offers six-days-a-week deliveries as an additional service, enabling shipments to reach customers already on Saturday rather than Monday.

“It is great that Pakettipiste is able to deliver to its parcel points six days a week. This brings us added value. Our customers have not given us any feedback on Pakettipiste, which basically means that everyone is really satisfied.”

Pakettipiste picks up shipments from Putinki at 3 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

“The later time suits us well, as it gives us plenty of time to collect the orders. With Pakettipiste’s deliveries, customer orders can potentially be ready for pick-up at a parcel point on the next day.”

“Pakettipiste has always been really quick to respond to any inquiries we have had, for instance, during the deployment phase. Returns are also communicated consistently well.”

Reliable and sustainable transports

Each month, Pakettipiste monitors the reliability of its transports with various indicators. Last year, its transports had an average on-time rate of 98%.

“We feel that Pakettipiste’s transports are reliable as not a single parcel has gone missing during transport. I am sure that their extensive experience in time-critical magazine distribution has built a solid foundation for expanding to parcel distribution.”

Pakettipiste is on its way to carbon-neutrality by 2030.
